[Special Meeting with Filipino Students] Confirmation of Registration and Online Meeting Information

10 JAN, 2020

Many fellow Filipino scholars have raised their concerns with us regarding the uncertainty of the suspension of visas to accepted Filipino students in Korean Universities and returning students (D2/D4 and other student visas) which have led to substantial delays in their studies and an unpredictable future. In this regard, PIKO will be conducting a special meeting with the students most affected by the travel ban and halt on visa processing on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 8:30 PM PST (9:30 PM KST) to hear their insights and sentiments. Your inputs will be referred at an upcoming meeting with the National Institute for International Education next week, and in an official correspondence to be sent out next week as well addressed to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines and to the Ambassador himself.

To those who are affected by Student Visa Issuance, kindly fill up this Google form – https://forms.gle/FqjKx4EsCFSM6M5LA

Data gathered will become an attachment to the said letter to be sent to Korean institutions. A link for the meeting will be provided to all those who sign up for the meeting via e-mail. Other PIKO members are encouraged to participate in the meeting to give their insights as well.

We anticipate everyone’s participation in this matter.
