Candidates for President Jubert Marquez (Inje University, Busan) and Secretary Mei Valencia (Sahmyook University, Seoul) won in a landslide during the election conducted from January 13-15, 2020.
Marquez won against Carlo Elipse (Sejong University) with a 61% margin (75-14), while Valencia won against Arvie Camille de Guzman with a 50% margin (69-19). 15 casted ballots were deemed invalid by the Board of Election.
Marquez and Valencia ran on a student-centered platform vying for inclusivity and collaboration. Both highlighted that PIKO will foremost be “an organization for students, by the students”, and guaranteed that their term “will be proactive in safeguarding student rights and welfare”.

Ms. de Guzman will also serve as Suwon-Yongin Regional Representative.
Officers will be taking their oath of office during the upcoming Hayo at Gilas PIKO in February.
